JH Vivadelli is a teacher, photographer, and writer based out of Richmond, VA in the United States.

The photo essays on this website are more or less running conversations; some things stay, some things get deleted.  They touch on a range of ideas including self-transformation, the photographic journey, outdoor/travel guides and mapping, and more.  The portfolio section has a little more to explore in an open ended format, containing images and captions from Asia, the United States, Latin America and Eastern Europe.

"To do something, say something, see something, before anybody else — these are the things that confer a pleasure compared with other pleasures are tame and commonplace, other ecstasies cheap and trivial.  Lifetimes of ecstasy crowded into a single moment."

— "Innocents Abroad," 1869

“Everything is allowed to come and go without further embellishment.” -Pema Chödrön
